The Kenya Navy held their Christmas Carols Day at the Sailor’s Club Kasarani Hall to celebrate this year’s achievements on Thursday 19 December 2019.

This is a day set aside for Service Personnel to celebrate as a family in all Formations and Units to thank God for His protection and care

Mombasa Diocese Anglican Church, the Right Reverend Alphonce Mwaro Baya officiated the celebration. A procession led by Anglican Church (AC) choir preceded the sermon and a series of entertainment by the Roman Catholic Choir, youths and children signaling the Christmas mood.

His Lordship Bishop Rev Baya said that Christmas finds its expression in three (3) impossible situations; a virgin conceiving and becoming pregnant through the Holy Spirit, God becoming a man in order to safe mankind and an old woman, Elizabeth, who was a relative to mother of God conceiving confirming Gods manifestation in human kind of His ability to make impossibilities possibilities.

He encouraged the congregation not to lose hope, despair or get distracted in life as Christmas celebration is a sign of hope and true reflection of God manifestation to mankind. “Despite the current challenges being experienced in the country, stand firm in faith and seek the face of God at all times.” He added

Deputy Commander Kenya Navy Brigadier William Kombe urged the Service Personnel to remain focused, be extra vigilant, observe personal safety and be responsible this festive season, later wishing all a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2020.
