Ulinzi Stars Football Club and Elitebet Kenya Sign Sponsorship Deal at Defence Headquarters

Ulinzi Stars Football Club signed a new sponsorship agreement with Elitebet Kenya in a ceremony held at the Defence Headquarters on Monday 05 June 2017.

Speaking during the ceremony, Defence Forces Football Association (DFFA) chairman Brigadier Alphaxard Kiugu said that the sponsorship comes at a time when Ulinzi Stars FC is doing well in the Kenya Premier League. “We look forward to having an exemplary performance as we get into the second league of the season.” Brig Kiugu said.

The DFFA chairman promised that Ulinzi Stars FC will deliver on its part of the bargain, terming the sponsorship a great motivation for the players to unswervingly push forward with their resolve towards greater performance.

The Elitebet Kenya’s Managing Director Hinga Waiyaki said that Defence Forces football team is known for its broad based appeal, discipline and consisted great performance which best fits his firm’s business practice and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

“We examined the unique attributes that Ulinzi Stars FC has and they match with our values as Elitebet Kenya. The values that this football club continuously displays in discipline, order and team spirit say it all,” he added.

In the sponsorship package, Ulinzi Stars FC will be kitted with uniforms of black, red and white branded with logos of the two organizations.

Ulinzi Stars FC was formed in 1995 with an innovative and exciting approach to establish a formidable and a successful club to represent the Kenya Defence Forces. The club is a military football team under KDF and draws its players from Kenya Army, Kenya Air Force and Kenya Navy.

The club has made several achievements including being Kenya Premier League champions in 2010, 2005, 2004 and 2003, East Africa Community Military games champions in 2016, 2014 and 2013 and representing Africa in the 2011 World Military games. The team currently holds position 3 in the ongoing Kenya Premier League.
